It therefore follows that it is worth changing your diet, but this needs to be seen in the context of being one of many steps, if you want real and lasting shrinkage.

A good starting point for those concerned about healthy eating for uterine fibroids is to start choosing organic foods. This applies to fruits, vegetables, meats (organic) and grains. This means that you are avoiding ingesting pesticides and foods with traces of growth hormones, both of which are known fibroid-causers and aggravators.

You should try to eat foods which are as close to their natural state as possible – in other words, avoid foods which have been overly processed and which have additives. If you need to cook vegetables, lightly steam them and if you are boiling them, use a little water and use this to make sauces and gravies.

To drink, you should have plenty of water each day and cut out caffeine and alcohol. Diluted fruit juices are also fine, but avoid drinks with added sugar.
