Are you thinking of a surgical procedure for fibroid (fibroid surgery) as an option to get rid of your fibroids?
You should read this first.
Today, surgical procedures such as hysterectomy (removal of the entire uterus/womb) and myomectomy (surgical removal of fibroid) still remain the most popular solution to fibroid.
However, it is shocking to know that surgery is not the best solution to get rid of fibroid based on the several negative side effects that have been linked to it.
There are lots of issues that have been reported medically as negative side effects of fibroid surgery and some of them are highlighted below;
Excessive Blood Loss – Many women already have low blood level (anaemia) due to heavy menstrual bleeding, so they’re at a higher risk of problems due to blood loss. Your doctor may suggest ways to build up your blood level before surgery. During myomectomy, surgeons take extra steps to avoid excessive bleeding, including blocking flow from the uterine arteries and injecting medications around fibroids to cause blood vessels to clamp down.
Scar Tissue – Incisions into the uterus to remove fibroids can lead to adhesions — bands of scar tissue that may develop after surgery. Outside the uterus, adhesions could entangle nearby structures and lead to a blocked fallopian tube or a trapped loop of intestine.
Rarely, adhesions may form within the uterus and lead to light menstrual periods and difficulties with fertility (Asherman’s syndrome).
Though, laparoscopic myomectomy may result in fewer adhesions than abdominal myomectomy (laparotomy).
More than half of the women that approach us for natural remedy for adhesion and scar tissue today at Plan B Wellness had it as a result of past surgery for fibroid CS or evacuation.

We have so many cases like this.
Childbirth Complications – A myomectomy can increase certain risks during delivery if you become pregnant. If your surgeon had to make a deep incision in your uterine wall, the doctor who manages your subsequent pregnancy may recommend cesarean delivery (C-section) to avoid rupture of the uterus during labour, a very rare complication of pregnancy.
Chance of Hysterectomy – Rarely though, the surgeon must remove the uterus if bleeding is uncontrollable or other abnormalities are found in addition to fibroids.
The aforementioned and many more challenges have been linked to surgeries to remove fibroids in women. The commonest of them all is regrowth of fibroid masses even after undergoing an expensive and painful surgery.
For example, the message captured below was sent to us by one of our followers online;
‘’please I have been operated on fibroid before, and now doctor has confirmed It again that I still have fibroid in my stomach, what Do I do because I don’t want to go for operation again?’’
