• bleed for longer than a week?

• pass blood clots with menstrual flow for more than one day?

• experience daily activities restrictions due to heavy menstrual flow?

No matter the symptoms you feel, the recipes will help you take care of them gradually. We will also be teaching you some dietary and lifestyle changes you can start implementing today which will prepare your body down against your next menstruation.

Dietary And Life-Style Changes For Heavy Menstruation

Dietary And Life-Style Changes For Heavy Menstruation

Firstly, you need to take charge of your problem by making changes in your diet. Generally, you tend to indulge in things that cause a lot of inflammation in your body. So, cut out things like sugar, coffee, dairy and alcohol. We know that sounds drastic, but you have to realise that these foods constantly nourish your fibroids and this is why some of the fibroid therapies you have been taking have not been working for you. So, if you want that to change, you have to discipline yourself. Period!

Eating sugar can make heavy menstrual bleeding worse!  Eating the sugar while being sedentary during your menstrual cycle can cause insulin to be released.  Insulin, indirectly, increases your menstrual bleeding. Sugar can cause such heavy menstrual bleeding that the blood may gush out and cause quite an embarrassing and frightening situation.

Sugar has made some of our clients begin to bleed heavily within a matter of minutes after it is eaten. Monitor your sugar intake and see if you tend to have heavier bleeding after eating it. You may find it helpful to minimise your sugar/carbohydrate intake when you have your menstrual cycle. And when we say sugar, we do not mean the white sugar you consume regularly alone but everything you take that deposit refined sugar into your system such as the carbonated soft drinks, alcohol, chocolate and major processed carbohydrate foods.

Start focusing on high-fibre foods, fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, fish and eggs. Also, you should start taking supplements and vitamins because weakened immune system is one of the causes for your fibroids (we will write more on this soon).

Eat organic foods as much as possible. Most of the foods you currently eat regularly contain chemicals and pesticides which destroy your hormonal balance. Hormonal imbalance in your body is one of the prime reasons for your uterine fibroids.

Which Foods Help Stop Heavy Bleeding?

Which Foods Help Stop Heavy Bleeding

Foods that help stop heavy menstrual bleeding are the foods rich in beta-carotene/luteins. So, make sure you eat plenty of them during your menstrual cycle.

Which foods are these? So glad you asked!  Try eating some carrots or drinking carrot juice.  Try eating some sweet potatoes.  You can bake them or cook them.

Other foods that are rich in beta-carotene and help stop heavy menstrual bleeding are dark green leafy vegetables. Eat various types and species  prior to and during your menstruation and see the improvement.

Stop Heavy Bleeding During Periods With Beta-Carotene

One of the best ways to stop heavy bleeding during periods with beta-carotene is to drink carrot juice or orange-carrot juice. You can add some orange juice to your carrot juice for flavour if you like. Drinking 1 glass cup of carrot juice (with or without orange juice added to it) can stop your bleeding in as little as 15 minutes.
